Hi, this is me, Lara.
​
Back in 2000 I established a gallery in support of a few artist friends as they embarked on the early stages of their careers. I continue to work with some of those, now well-established artists and have built connections with many more.
With a love of all media and a passion for authentic work, I have nearly 25 years of experience representing professional artists and sourcing work for private and corporate customers.

I firmly believe in the ability of original art to inspire and enhance your personal space, and bring a unique personality to your environment. I find great satisfaction in finding just the right piece for my clients and placing it in its' new home.

Original art makes your space feel different. It can inspire, add character, warmth, energy, humour, peace. Something made by the hands of another human, in response to their experiences, is a thing of beauty. Chosen well it will give back for years to come, and remind you of your own history. It can become a part of your family, something enjoyed by all, or discussed at length for its' controversy.

I offer support from the initial stages of determining and connecting with your tastes to sourcing the art, right through to placing it in your space.

STUDIO & GALLERY
I am also a practicing artist and my studio is tucked away in a mews just a short walk from Hove seafront. This is where I make most of my own work, so it is often a wonderful, creative mess. However, the front section is set aside as a gallery space dedicated to exhibiting finished pieces by my artist colleagues and me.

Originally built around 1881 Lion Mews was the Duke of Portland's stables for many years. The units were built for horses, not humans, and it can get chilly inside. Therefore I open on an appointment-only basis in the winter.
From April to October, I fling the door open to visitors on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, changing the gallery display each week so there's always something new to see.

All current collection pieces can be seen in the gallery. In addition, you may also find works from previous collections by some of our best-selling artists.
​
There is free parking on nearby residential streets and both Hove and Portslade train stations aren't far away. Buses stop at the end of the road with direct links from Brighton.
​
The kettle is usually on but there are two great cafés just around the corner plus a multitude of pubs and restaurants in Hove centre. And of course, the beach is just at the end of the road.
​

Alternatively, I am happy to show you artwork I have in stock via a facetime chat. It can be a great alternative if a visit to the gallery isn't possible.
