BOB & EVE

Textile artist

Bob & Eve is the creative identity of artist Corinna Wilson.  The name grew from the words bobbin and weave-a nod to her love of working with thread and her fascination with the handmade.

Corinna’s practice blends humour, warmth and craftsmanship, transforming wool into colourful, text-based works and playful compositions that offer an irreverent take on modern life. Using a combination of hand-tufted and machine-based techniques, her work celebrates texture, imperfection and the character of the handmade.

She seeks to explore the juxtaposition of traditional textile technique -historically associated with domestic craft and women’s work - with contemporary themes drawn from everyday British life. Often inspired by small moments, conversations, and familiar cultural references, she finds creative influence in music, poetry and comedy.  Through this blend of humour and nostalgia, her pieces invite connection and a sense of familiarity, offering commentary that feels both honest and uplifting.

Corinna's floral work reimagines the traditions of floral art through intricate fabric compositions. Her most recent collection draws inspiration from nature and design and specifically the natural world on her doorstep in Sussex woodlands. Her practice explores the relationship between texture, pattern and form, creating distinctive and tactile works that blur the boundaries between fine art and craft. They examine and celebrate the imperfect beauty found in organic forms and the quiet depth of colour and texture resulting in unique interpretations of botanical subjects that feel both modern and timeless.

Bob & Eve brings a tactile, joyful and distinctly British approach to contemporary textile art, reimagining traditional craft through tactile works that blur the boundaries between fine art and craft.
