My flowers in vases are an ongoing collection of paintings, some small and intimate, others larger and more expressive.
These smaller works are part of my daily painting practice - a place to experiment with colour, gesture and composition.
Some paintings are completed in a few sittings, while others have been revisited and reworked over several years, carrying traces of their previous lives. Palimpsests of sorts, with layers of paint, memory and time.
I Just Float is a song by Janelle Monae. This study is a new release - the larger painting sold but is available as a print
