POLLY ARNETT
Figurative drawings, prints and collage
Polly Arnett’s work celebrates the joy of movement, the female form, and a deep connection to nature and the outdoors. With a playful nod to vintage seaside posters, her imagery feels both timeless and fresh.
With a background in illustration and design, and a long-standing love of drawing and recording the world around her, Polly’s practice brings together bold blocks of colour and fluid line. Her work is informed by visual influences of the past and the nostalgic romance of simpler, slower times.
Inspiration for her variable editions is drawn from Polly’s passion for sea swimming and the close-knit community of her Hove neighbourhood. These original prints translate lived experience and observation into a language of simplified forms, unified by expressive, flowing line.
Her recent work expands into original drawings on paper, cut-paper collage, and experimental free-painted silkscreens. These explorations mark a growing freedom of expression that mirrors her subject matter: the female form in moments of power, repose, and friendship. Playful yet assured, her work is rich in colour, line, and positive energy.
