PAINTING WORKSHOPS & RETREATS FOR 2024
As a child did you ever lie in the garden looking through a cardboard tube at the sunlight through the leaves? My circular paintings are inspired by these memories, full of gorgeous colours, and negative space on circular composition.

This workshop will encourage you to look closely at the shapes of both cut flowers and plants in the garden, through a viewfinder and with your phone camera and interpret them in inks and paints in a loose and semi-abstract style
​

The cost is £75 per person, which includes all necessary art supplies and tools, plus homemade cake and beverages.
Please note that spaces are limited to 5 per day.

PIECES
Claire Knill's magnificent suspended sculpture 'The Willow Tree' was showcased in the atrium at AAF Hampstead Heath in May 25. Since then she has been working on projects and commissions for clients inspired by this large scale installation.

COLOUR CONVERSATIONS
Following on from my Lockdown colour chart project, my studio time has been taken up getting lost in these large-scale abstacts.

Using the emotions I attach to colour as a starting point I have been playing with subtle shifts in pigment and tone with the aim of creating pieces that make you feel rather than think.
KATE HENDERSON
I love how Kate's tactile abstract forms refract light and bring a gentle energy into my gallery. Her natural forms and choice of materials make everyone instantly want to reach out and touch.

This gathering is currently on display alongside two stunning hand-carved wood sculptures. All pieces are available via the shop.

I am also a practicing artist and run workshops and mentoring session from my studio, just a short walk from Hove seafront. It is often a wonderful, creative mess, but the front section is set aside as a gallery space.
